last night i did not go out to dinner. but that is ok bc it was a very productive evening-- got laundry done, cooked food, and, most importantly, found the market in our neighborhood. shakti and i went out about 8pm looking for the fruit and vegetable night market that we figured must exist somewhere (where do the locals get their food? not dominoes every night). it is about a 10-15 minute walk away and rivals the Vaishali Bihari Market. we bought mangoes, limes, bananas, cucumbers, milk, and yogurt.

today during lunch it rained AGAIN, but i was prepared with my umbrella. i went to the khadi bhawan, but it has changed and now does not sell much ready-made clothing. maybe this weekend i will go to laxmi nagar... i need to buy some clothing for santosh, bhutty, and pappu, too.

this afternoon at work i went with some of my coworkers to check out the venue for the sea-container-scanner party. sadly, the number of expected hi-fi attendees is dwindling due to "landmark visits to the US," etc. but the venue is very nice-- the rooftop space of the Maurya Sheraton (used to be the lebanese restaurant).
